My partner is Elia Caneva, he lives at Via Duca D’aosta (Arzignano) he is a fan of Inter milan. He likes pasta, playning sports and reading. He has a special interest in football. Has the following character: Very kind and almost never sad. He doesn’t know what to study. I like him because of his character. His bad quality is that he is sometimes a little bit strange and quiet.

 

 

 

Wat was voor jou het verschil tussen de week in Italië en die in Nederland?

 

I had to oganize everything in Italy.

 

Wat  is je mening over de school die je bezocht hebt?

 

Very nice, I liked the football table.

 

Welke activiteiten heb je buiten het programma gedaan en hoe beviel dat?

 

We have played FIFA 08, we have bowled, we have watched a football match, we have played a football match, we have played monopoly and we have been to a cafe.

 

Hoe heb je het Nederlandse familieleven ervaren?

 

 The people are very nice, and it was not very different from the Italian famlily life.

 

Wat viel je op ten aanzien van het eten in Nederland?

 

Sometimes you didn’t eat together.

 

Wat is je indruk van Amsterdam?

 

A very nice and big city with a lot of coffee shops.

 

Hoe heb je Rotterdam ervaren?

 

The harbor and the bridge were nice, but the city wasn’t very nice.

 

Wat was het mooiste onderdeel van de week?

 

Amsterdam

 

Hoe ging het communiceren in het Engels met de Nederlanders?

 

Very good, we didn’t have many mistakes.

 

Wat zijn volgend jou de belangrijkste kenmerken van de Nederlanders die je hebt meegemaakt?

 

Very kind and hospitable.

 

Heb je nieuwe ideeën over Nederland gekregen?

 

It wasn’t that cold as I thought.

 

Wat was je idee over het land voordat je hier kwam?

 

A lot of green, and a lot of flowers.

 

Heb/Had je vooroordelen over Nederlanders die verandert zijn?

Wat vind je niet leuk aan Nederland?

 

There wasn’t much green, and you doesn’t have a bidé (ass and feet washer)

 

Wat is je mening over het programma van deze week?

 

To much walking.

 

Wat zou je veranderen, verbeteren?

 

No pictures anymore.

 

Hoe zou je die afgelopen week tegenover je vrienden en familie beschrijven als je weer thuis bent?

 

Very nice. Nice group, nice family, and free to do what I wanted.

Now I’m going to describe him:

 

 

He has a nice character. He makes a lot of jokes, and he was very kind to me. He was never angry or sad. That was very nice. And when he didn’t understand something he told me, so he isn’t very shy. And I think that’s a good quality. He is also very intelligent. He is in a special class for people highly people. A bad quality is that he is a bit quiet. He only asks questions if it is necessary (only to my parents).

 

 

 

Now I’m going to describe the week:

 

 

He arrived at Saturday evening at 17:30. I was only a few minutes at home when someones called me for saying that they arrive in 20 minutes. When he came out of the bus he saw me and I saw him immediately, and we went home. In the car he didn’t talk very much, he only asked a few necessary questions like “how are we going to school tomorrow, how late do we have to get up?” When we were home, my parents and my sister went to a family dinner. We stayed at home that night. We played FIFA 08, and we have watched a football match on Teletext, what was very boring.

 

  

 

The wetter next day was very bad, so we didn’t go to the Efteling. After breakfast I called Jan and Omar. Omar went to the swimmingpool, and Jan stayed at home. So I asked Jan to come to my house, and he did. When they arrived the Italian people wanted to play and FIFA (again). So we have played fifa the whole afternoon. At 7 o’clock we went to the bowling center in Breda. We have bowled 2 games.

 

 

Next day we went to Amsterdam. First we went to the Van Gogh museum. It was very boring in my opinion, because I doesn’t like paintings. Every Italian liked the museum what was very strange because the most Dutch people didn’t like the museum. After the museum we went to the Vondelpark where we had lunch, the park was very nice! When everybody has had lunch, we got an assignment. When we had finished the assignment we got free time. In my opinion a bit to long (3 hours). At 18:30 we went to the bus. In my opinion Amsterdam is a nice city!

 

 

Tuesday we had presentations. After the presentations we went to the centrum of the city by bike. When we arrived we went to the big church in Breda. The church was very nice in my opinion. After the church we got an assignment. The assignment was to make 10 pictures of 10 historical things, when we had finished the assignment we went home. At 20:30 we went to a cafe in the centrum of Breda with the other people. It was very amusing.

 

 

Wednesday we went to Rotterdam. When we arrived we went to an art museum. The art was very funny because it wasn’t very hard to make. This museum was better than the Van Gogh museum in my opinion. After the museum we had some free time. We ate something and after that we went to the harbor and we had a tour through the harbor of Rotterdam by boat. After the tour we went home.

 

 

Thurday we watched the movie “La vita é Bella”. The film was very nice. After the film we went to a football field to play a match. The Italian people versus the Dutch people. The match was very nice but we lost.  

 

  When we were at home we had only 30 minutes to shower, to eat, and go to school. So we were a little bit late. When we were at school, we ate something, and listened to the show. After that we went to the centrum of the city to go to a cafe. It was the last night so we stayed very long. At 1:30 we were at home again.

 

 

Friday was the day. They left at 10 o’clock. We have to be at school at nine o’clock. When we were at school we got an assignment. We had to ask our Italians a few questions. After that they went to Italy. When they went to Italy, I went to Texel.

 

 

 

His opinion about the week:

 

 

He has had a nice week. He liked Amsterdam and Rotterdam very much, he said that Amsterdam was the Venice of the south, what was very funny. He liked the Dutch family-life what wasn’t very different.

 

  The only thing he didn’t like was walking that much in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

 

   When will be home he will describe the week like this: very nice, nice group, nice family, and free to do what he wanted.

 

 

My opinion about the week:

 

 

A very nice week. The Italian people were very nice. Amsterdam and Rotterdam are beautifull cities. The only thing I didn’t like was the Van Gogh museum, because it was very boring.
