What was the difference for you between the week in Italy and the week in Holland?

 

The main difference was that the Dutch and Italian were closer in Italy than in Holland, also the idea of the program was very different.

 

 

 

What is your opinion about the school you visited?

 

It’s a big school, I love the central hall.

 

 

 

Which activities have you done beside the program and what did you think of it?

 

I went to the efteling, the park was very beautiful. Also we went out with a big group, that was a lot of fun.

 

 

 

How have you experienced the Dutch family life?

 

It was very good, it looks a lot like the Italian family life.

 

 

 

What did you notice of the food in Holland?

 

The Dutch people use a lot of butter, also I really liked the pancakes and other food.

 

 

 

What is your impression of Amsterdam?

 

The first thing I noticed was that there are a lot of coffee shops. It’s a big busy city and I really liked the museum.

 

 

 

How have you experienced Rotterdam?

 

Rotterdam is very modern, there are a lot of new buildings. I liked seeing the harbors.

 

 

 

What was the most beautiful part of the week?

 

I liked everything a lot, but the most beautiful thing was the farewell party.

 

 

 

How was the communicating in English with the Dutch?

 

It was very difficult, but we always could make each other understand what we meant.

 

 

 

What are the most important characteristics of the Dutch people you have seen?

 

The Dutch people are very hospitable and friendly.

 

 

 

Have you gotten any new ideas about Holland?

 

Not really actually.

 

 

 

What was your idea about this country before you came here?

 

The standard idea I think, tulips, mills and clogs. But it’s not true at all.

 

 

 

 

 

Do/did you have prejudices about Dutch people that have changed?

 

No, not at all.

 

 

 

What don’t you like about Holland?

 

I like everything I’ve seen, so nothing.

 

 

 

What is your opinion about the program this week?

 

It’s very well organized, and I liked the things we’ve seen.

 

 

 

What would you change or improve?

 

Maybe that you have to do more things with your partner, but it was ok I think.

 

 

 

How would you describe the past week to your friends and family when you get back home?
