What was the difference for you between the week in the Netherlands and the week in Italy?
They were both similar in trips, but in Italy I was hosting you, and now you host me. And in Holland I cycled a lot.
What’s your opinion about the school you have visited?
The school is nice. I like the table football, PlayStation, lockers and wardrobe, because we don’t have them at my school.
What activities did you do which are not in the program of school and what’s your opinion about them?
On Sunday we went to the swimming pool, it was very nice because we don’t have a similar one in Vicenza. We also went to bowling that evening, which I enjoyed a lot. The football match which we played at Thursday was also great but, I hurt myself back then. We also went a few times to cafés, which were also enjoyable.
How did you experience the Dutch family life?
It was strange and different for me. But the hosting was perfect.
What amazed you about the food in the Netherlands?
I was guest at an Afghan family, so I ate Afghan food. It’s very different from Italian food, but it was very delicious, I liked it a lot.
What’s your impression of Amsterdam?
It’s a very beautiful city. I want to go to Amsterdam again ever.
How did you experience Rotterdam?
I liked the boat trip, the harbor was very nice.
What was the best part of week?
I liked it all, but Sunday and Thursday evening were the best parts for me.
How did the communication go in English with the Dutch people?
I didn’t have any problems. But Dutch people are better in English.
What are the most important features of the Dutch people that you have experienced?
Dutch people are friendly, they joke a lot and also drink a lot.
Have you got new ideas about the Netherlands?
No.
What was your idea about the country before you came here?
I thought that it was a rainy country with a lot of bicycles and coffeeshops.
What is the difference between the Dutch and Italian family life?
In Italy we eat together at dinner and the dinner is usually at half past seven. In the Netherlands we often didn’t eat together and the dinner was at six o’clock.
Did you have biases about the Netherlands which are changed?
No, I hadn’t got any biases. I usually don’t have biases before experiencing it.
What do you dislike about the Netherlands?
I didn’t like cycling in the rain and the weather.
What’s your opinion about the program of this week?
It was perfect, but at the trip in Breda we had to walk a lot.
Where should you change, improve the program?
I would change the trip in Breda so you should walk less.
How are you going to describe this week to your family and friends when you’re back home?
I’m going to describe it as good, very enjoyable. In one word: Great!
