What was for you the difference between the week in Italy and in the Netherlands?
A difference for me was that we go out in Italy a lot and in the Netherlands not very often. For me was going by bike also different. At home I don't have to cycle very long. Also the food was different.
What’s your opinion about our school?
I liked your school, but I think it looks a little bit old. Our school is very new.
Which activities did you do out of the school programme and what did you think of it?
The first evening we were at home. We played a typically Dutch game called sjoelen. I liked it a lot. At Sunday we went to Romy’s place. It was a great evening. At Monday we went to Willemijn’s birthday-party. At Tuesday we stayed at home because we had a very long day. At Wensday we went to a pancake-house and it was very nice. At Thursday we went after the schoolparty to the city. It was a very nice evening and I liked it a lot.
What are you experions with the Dutch family life?
They were very polite. The situation wasn’t very different of mine at home.
What did you think of the Dutch food?
It was a bit strange for me. I didn’t like the very sweet food but I liked the muffins.
What did you think of Amsterdam?
I liked Amsterdam. It was very beautiful and different from Italy. It’s not the same as the Italian cities. The buildings are different. I liked it a lot. But the trams were strange for me, because I didn’t know them.
What did you think of Rotterdam?
Rotterdam was a nice place, but I liked Amsterdam more. I prefer the buildings in Amsterdam. I liked the trip with the boat too, because I could relax a bit, but it was very cold. The harbour is very beautiful.
What did you think was the most beautiful part of the week?
I liked Amsterdam the most, because it was beautiful. I liked the very big park. In the park was a big word: I am sterdam. I liked it a lot.
How was communicating with the Dutch people?
Sometimes it was a bit difficult, but it was very well.
What are the most important characterize of the Dutch people?
They are very polite and happy.
What kind of new ideas do you have about the Netherlands?
I think it’s a beautiful place. I like it. I also think the Dutch people are very polite and nice. And I think the bicycle path was very good.
What kind of ideas did you have about the Netherlands before you came here?
I though the weather would be very cold. I also though there are a lot of plants and trees. I though it would be very beautiful.
What’s the difference between the Italian and the Dutch familylife?
The Dutch people eat very early. In Italy we eat at 7 o’clock and here earlier. I didn’t see any other difference.
Did you have any ideas about the Dutch people who are changed now?
No, nothing has changed for me.
What didn’t you like about the Netherlands?
I didn’t like the weather because it was too cold. And I didn’t like to go bike to school, because it was a large distance.
What’s your opinion about the programme of this week?
I think it was a nice programme. I liked it. But I didn’t like to visit the van Gogh museum because it was boring and I didn’t like to walk through Amsterdam with the map, because it was very boring and too far and we walked too fast. I was very tired.
What would you improve?
I would have changed the visit to the museum and the trip with the map in Amsterdam, because I didn’t like it.
What will you tell your friends and family at home about this week?
I will say I had a very nice week and a lot of fun. I enjoyed it. I liked the place. I will tell them there were a lot of animals like the sheep and the cows. I also will tell them about the bike and that I didn’t like it.
