Afrondingsopdracht:
My partner was Ahmed Dabbas, he lives at 'Via Lago di Toblino 37' in Vicenza. He is a fan of the football team 'Vicenza Calcio'. He plays football in Vicenza. He likes Pizza very much and his hobbies are playing football, cycling and playing on the computer. He has special interests in football and scientific subjects. Ahmed is an very friendly and nice guy. He can make contacts(friends) easy and is also very caring. He wants to study an scientific subject and wants to become an engineer. I like him very much because he is very funny and very nice to everybody. I think hasn’t got any bad qualities.
I think this week was fantastic and also very funny. Ahmed and I became very good friends and I’m really going to miss him. Everything from this week was very nice and we had a great time. Also the weather was very nice this week which makes the mood better. Only when we were in the Efteling there was a lot of rain.
At school I’ve had the last talk with Ahmed. Ahmed about this week:
“I think this week was absolutely fantastic. The weather of this week here in Holland was better than the weather in Italy during the exchange. We both(Rob and I) had the idea that this week here in Holland was going faster than the week in Italy. Maybe it’s because we visited less things than in Italy. In Italy we visited more cities and buildings than this week in Holland.
The school was very beautiful and I liked the big hall very much, because it gives you a clear view about all the classrooms. Also the football tables were very nice.
During this week we have done lots of different things: we went out to the center, we played a football match, I played Fifa 08 with Rob on the playstation and I also saw some things of Rob’s village like the supermarket. Every time we went out it was very funny, but when we went home, we were very tired and couldn’t get out of bed the next morning. I think the football match was also absolutely fantastic. It was hard but also very funny. When we had the football match in Italy it was raining very hard, but during this match the weather was sunny so it was a better match. Also the level from the players were more the same than the match in Italy which ended in 20-3 or something. Now we won with a score of 3-5 so it was a nicer match.
The Dutch family life is not so very different from our life. I think the Dutch family life is very nice, funny and kind. Also the food was very nice but very different. The food in Holland has got more different kinds of meat than in Italy. Also the taste of the Dutch food is very different, because I think the taste of the Dutch food is stronger. During this week I ate very nice things and I liked everything what Rob’s mother made for me.
My impression about Amsterdam is very positive. It is a beautiful city and also very big. There are lots of shops and there were lots of people in the center of Amsterdam. I also liked all the girls behind the glasses. There were very ugly, fat girls but also very beautiful girls. Also Rotterdam was very beautiful and I liked all the water. The boat trip we’ve made was very special and very interesting.
I think the most beautiful thing of this week is the football match.
The communication with the Dutch students during this week was also very good, because everybody could understand me, but also I could understand the others and I think that’s the most important thing for a good communication. I think the dutch people are very friendly, funny and crazy. I laughed much times this week so I think it’s true that Dutch people are very funny.
Before I went to the Netherlands I expected lots of bikes and green fields. That was true, but I didn’t knew that there were so much cows in the green fields. I also didn’t knew that in Holland people can cycle on a special cycling road. In Italy we don’t have them so much, so I think it’s a little bit more safer to cycle in Holland than in Italy.
I think there aren’t so much differences between the Dutch family life and the Italian life. I only think Dutch people eat earlier than Italian people and the food is different.
There weren’t things that I didn’t like about Holland. I like the country very much. Also the programme was good so I would’t change something, maybe to visit more kinds of things. When I am back at home I tell my family and friends that Holland is very beautiful and all things were very interesting. I had a great time and I am really going to miss it. Goodbye Holland !”
